The Flying Fifteens are planning a weekend of non-competitive, cut throat, friendly, no-hold-barred racing over the weekend 15-16 June. With huge prizes...
Normal racing on Saturday, starting at 2pm, but with longer courses or more races. Followed by a barbecue and impromptu talk by John Simpson, who many may remember from last year, the subject being "Crew Work: the Forgotten Factor". He will touch on the vital importance of sail trim, wind spotting, weight and moral support, when the person at the back blows it badly.
And on Sunday morning, before lunch, an intensive session of one-to-one match racing, using Donald's Ladder system.
We are hoping that a team from Chanonry will be here to join us.
All members are welcome; it's not just those who sail Flying Fifteens regularly. There will be plenty of chances to have a go, either as crew or helmsman.
