What About a Soling, says Donald?

 Hi folks

Having read the latest post on the blog, here's a thought I had re. other club members buying themselves a FF.

1. Sell the Club boats to interested members...like Chris, Mike, etc.!!!

2. Buy 2 Solings for the Club!

Pros...A bigger boat for your buck (on the market at the same price as Adrian's FF's)

A boat that can handle the tricky Loch Broom conditions and have longer distance races

Hull Type:  Fin w/spade rudder Rig Type:  Fractional Sloop
LOA:  26.75' / 8.15m LWL:  20.25' / 6.17m
Beam:  6.25' / 1.91m Listed SA:  251 ft2 / 23.32 m2
Draft (max.)  4.25' / 1.30m Draft (min.)
Disp.  2277 lbs./ 1033 kgs.

A boat more suitable for match racing (the Ladder!)...ie. no handicpas to work out!
The next step up towards your full-blown Cruiser/Racer

Still have 10 FF's on Loch Broom

Cons...?

Lochaber Yacht Club at Fort William have several Solings I noticed earlier this summer when passing that way a few times...maybe worth a contact if we're interested?
